Data released by the exchange on Tuesday showed that exchange inventories increased by 131,075 tons to 1.03 million tons, a 15% increase. More than 500,000 tons were added last Friday. Three-month aluminum futures rose slightly on the day.

In other areas, copper prices continued to move higher, trading above US$10200 per ton, reaching their highest level since 2022, after forecasts of growing global supply shortages had driven a strong rise. Copper prices withstood the impact of weak demand. This is partly because investors believe tight ore supplies will cause copper shortages as early as this year.

Citi analysts said in an emailed report on Mondayslotvibecasino:"Investors are pricing beyond short-term cycle uncertainty and weakness in physical demand indicators." The bank expects copper prices to climb to US$10,500 a ton in the near term amid "imminent supply."
